Their desire is that nobody is left without the opportunity to try their cakes, therefore it has started organic production, and a range of products without sugar and without gluten, as well as their Halal certified range.
The Halal Certification, managed by the Halal Institute, guarantees that the products do not contain any element considered illicit according to Islamic law. This does not refer solely to ingredients, but also includes the production process, transport and storage, including preventing direct contact with any substances which are not halal.
E. Moreno obtained halal certification not only in their quality system, but also following a strict procedure of testing of samples in the manufacturing site and of the final product.
Halal certification represents for E. Moreno the opportunity to export to Arab countries, where the cakes from Estepa have an important demand. It currently distributes their products in the USA, Mexico and Australia.
Besides Halal Certification, the quality of the products manufactured by E. Moreno has received other marks, such as IFS (International Food Standard), Certified Quality, CAAE (Comité Andaluz de Agricultura Ecológica), FACE (Federación de Asociaciones de Celiacos de España) and IGP (Indicación Geográfica Protegida).
Enrique Moreno is a prestigious company in their sector, with a production of 2 million kilos per year, and 170 employees. It has also created a museum to learn cake-tasting where they receive the many tourists visiting Spain during the Christmas season.
